Chekko is a private, offline-first budget and expense tracker for iPhone and Android by CampStudio. Track income and expenses across cards, cash and savings in 10 currencies, see what you can spend today based on your monthly budget, scan paper receipts into items, capture Apple Pay / Google Pay payments automatically, plan budgets, category limits, subscriptions, regular income and savings goals, export reports (CSV, Excel, PDF) and ask Chekko questions about your money. No sign-up: your data is encrypted on your device.
Chekko is free with ads. Optional Chekko Premium (monthly or annual) removes ads and unlocks unlimited AI receipt parsing and AI questions, automatic categories for captured payments and the Pro interface.
No. There is no registration or cloud account. Your records stay on your device in encrypted storage. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what, if anything, leaves the device.
.chekko file somewhere you control (Files, a drive, a message to yourself).To restore, install Chekko on the new device, open the .chekko file (or Settings › Backup and data › Restore from backup), enter the password, review the summary and confirm Replace my data. Restoring replaces the current data on that device. Afterwards, re-grant permissions (notifications, Notification access on Android, the Shortcuts automation on iPhone). Chekko data is not included in iCloud or Google device backups, so an exported backup is the only way to move it.
Open the Premium screen and tap Restore purchases while signed in to the same Apple Account or Google account you used to subscribe. Premium is not stored in backup files. To manage or cancel, use your Apple Account subscription settings (iPhone) or Google Play › Payments & subscriptions (Android). After cancelling, Premium stays active until the end of the paid period and all your records remain.
Go to Settings › Backup and data › Delete all data and type DELETE to confirm. This permanently erases everything stored by Chekko on the device. Export a backup first if you might need the data. Uninstalling the app also removes its data. Deleting data does not cancel a subscription.
Notifications are read on your phone only. Chekko keeps just the amount, currency, merchant and card name from Google Wallet payment notifications; all other notifications are ignored and nothing is sent anywhere. If capture stops working, check that Notification access is still enabled and that battery optimisation is not restricting Chekko.
Requires iOS 16 or later. In Chekko open Settings › Apple Pay & quick capture and turn on Receive payments, then in the Shortcuts app create Automation › New › Transaction, select your cards, enable Run Immediately and add the Chekko action Add payment to inbox, passing the Amount and Merchant and choosing an account. Payments are queued in encrypted storage, even while the iPhone is locked, and recorded when you open Chekko.
No. Receipts are recognized on the device for free. "Extract with AI" is optional and sends the receipt photo and your category names only after you confirm. Always review the result before saving. Free users get a monthly AI allowance (plus extra requests for watching an optional video); Premium is unlimited.
In the free version open Settings › Ad privacy options to review or change your Google consent choices. Premium removes ads entirely.
From the National Bank of Ukraine (pairs with UAH) and the European Central Bank (other pairs). Only the currency and date are requested. You can also enter a manual rate when needed.
